TYPES OF SERVICES PROVIDED
Com-Care EMS operates Advanced Life Support, Class 1 ground ambulance services as set forth in KRS 311.030 and 202 KAR Chapter 5. We staff a foundation of 24-hour ALS coverage. In additional we have day, night, and call shifts as needed to bolster both our inter-facility and scene response capability.
Com-Care utilizes several levels or provider to include EMT-Basic, EMT Advanced, and Paramedics. We strive to provide the highest quality care available in any given situation. As such, we expect that that every patient receives assessment from the most advanced level of care on scene when resources permit. Following that assessment, the most appropriate level of care may be applied for the situation. We expect every patient, from the most routine transfer to the most critically unstable, to receive the absolute best care our providers can give.
The emergency medical services are unique in that we work in an often unpredictable and everchanging environment. We must be flexible and ready to answer the call whatever the situation. Our staff is expected to adjust to the needs of the community. That could mean coming in on short notice for an inter-facility transfer or maybe leaving on a month-long deployment to a hurricane zone. We at Com-Care are committed to filling whatever need may arise.
