Description

Peju Winery is looking for a stellar full-time Assistant Hospitality Manager to join our Hospitality Team at our estate in Rutherford. We are a family owned and operated company that crafts award-winning wines from our estate-grown vineyards and provides guests with memorable experiences. Our culture and workplace is friendly, team oriented and family focused.


This position is guest service and front of house management oriented in the Peju Tasting Room and ensures guests are taken care of with an imperceptible sense of urgency. The Assistant Hospitality Manager will be required to assist in selling/displaying merchandise, escort guest to tables, process POS transactions and enter customer information, as well as perform other tasks required by management. We invite individuals who enjoy creating memorable moments for guests to apply.


Greets guests in a warm and friendly manner and familiarizes them with the winery, tasting experiences, family history and wines. Provides leadership and direction to FOH staff.

Performs opening and closing processes, including BTR process 

Presents self in a professional and polished manner.

Uses POS registers and reservations system to process purchases and accurately input guest information.

Escorts guests to seats.

Assists in other duties needed to support the staff. 


Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Previous guest service experience in winery, luxury retail, restaurant, or hotel desired.

Warm, gracious, and welcoming demeanor. Demonstrated ability to always provide the highest quality customer service.

Ability to be a solution-oriented team player with problem-solving skills in a fast-paced work environment.

Engaging presence and presentation skills, with the ability to respond spontaneously and educate guests; ability to present a fresh and personalized experience to every guest.

Consistently professional and polished in appearance.

Demonstrated attention to quality, an entrepreneurial spirit, transparency and openness, respect, and integrity as well as a strong work ethic.

Willingness and eagerness to learn and perform company procedures. Inquisitive and asks questions to ensure understanding.

Positive and humble attitude; ability to work well independently as well as harmoniously with a team. 

Ability to work with a sense of urgency imperceptible to guests.

Experience with reservation systems and POS software; AMS experience a plus.

Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Must be 21 years of age.
