Requirements

Function & Responsibility:

     

Responsible for supporting quality processes within the facility which includes conducting QC of manufactured products, analyzing information,  and reporting results. Actively communicates both verbally and in writing any corrective actions or quality issues.


Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications
  • Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Non-Conforming Report) as required
  • Conduct, document and report inspection findings and results
  • Read and interpret specifications and part prints
  • Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required
  • Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions
  • Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs
  • Maintain document control of production orders, NCR's receiving inspection, etc.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations or Quality Manager

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Pass MDC GD&T Test (level 2) with 90% or better
  • High School Diploma (GED) or higher
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic 
  • 1 year of work experience in a Quality or related field 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:  

  • Ability to promote process improvement
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios 
  • Ability to recognize, define, and use measurement and test equipment (MT&E) such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, comparators, profilometers, protractors, scales, torque wrenches, height gauges, V-block, and other indicators, etc.…
  • Ability to recognize, define, and use automatic gauging components such as machine vision, ultrasonic, etc.
  • Ability to select measurement tools according to the feature or characteristic to be measured, the applicable tolerance and the accuracy, environment, and the resolution and capability of the instruments.
  • Understand and determine part alignment and setup using the datum structure.
  • Proficient in PC computer skills such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access

Salary Description
$19 - $22 per hour
