A well-established private Montessori school in the Salt Lake City area seeks highly motivated individuals to join our community. Multiple Substitute Teacher positions available. Experience working with children is very helpful. Orientation will be provided. Multiple positions may be available. 

Hours

Part-time, on-call, flexible hours

Duties Include

• Support the other teacher in the classroom/program
• Support students during the work cycle by checking work and answering questions when necessary
• Assist with classroom cleanup
• Supervise student’s outdoor or gym time

The school enrolls students from 3 months through 6th grade with an average enrollment of 220 students in the academic session and about half the enrollment in the Summer. • Pass a background check through Child Care Licensing (school can assist with this process)
• Motor vehicle report for driving on field-trips (school can obtain this when hired)
• Should be able to lift a child of up to 55 pounds should an emergency arise
• Meet the physical requirements of the job eg. squatting, sitting or kneeling on the floor when necessary, for assisting students or maintaining the environment
