Description

Job Title: Graphic Designer  (contract to perm option available as well)

Reports To: Director, Customer Experience

Location: Atlanta

PlayOn! Sports is the nation’s largest rights-holder and producer of high school sports, producing and broadcasting over 200,000 high school events per year on the NFHS Network. PlayOn is providing high schools with the Pixellot platform to produce and broadcast professional-grade events via artificial intelligence and automation. The Pixellot automated production solution was introduced to high schools four years ago and has quickly become an integral component of the NFHS Network’s offerings. The Pixellot solution allows every event to be streamed live without requiring personnel to produce the games, thereby eliminating the operational strain created by manual game productions. The NFHS Network has allocated more than $200 million in capital for the project, which will enable any of the 19,500 NFHS state associations’ member schools that currently lack production capabilities to receive up to two free Pixellot Systems in their primary sports venues.

Job Summary:

As a member of the marketing team, the graphic designer will conceptualize, strategize, and design for the digital marketing and communication needs of the NFHS Network. This position works in close collaboration with colleagues within marketing to bring digital strategies to life visually.


Most of the creative design work is for online platforms—including seasonal marketing campaigns, emails, videos, social media, and website elements. A strong background in digital design is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing team members to develop seasonal digital campaign assets which can include display ads, dynamic ad templates, video assets and website graphics. 
  • Assist with the design of email assets and templates, design strategy and creation of assets for affiliate and acquisition programs. 
  • Develop creative assets and provide design support as needed to cross-functional teams (This can include but is not limited to web, print, and trade show graphics).
  • Assist marketing team during busy times with photoshop production projects.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistency of style across creatives for all consumer facing assets. 
  • Some minimal UX design to iterate on versions of existing pages on the websites and for our backend CMS UX needs. 


Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Visually creative with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to design across multiple mediums including digital, print, video, and animations
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe CS and Sketch
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Zeplin and Webflow
  • Proficient with UX design 
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively
  • Ability to set schedules and manage deadlines effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in graphic design or related field.
  • 2-5 years of related experience required.
  • Must provide a portfolio that showcases your related work
