JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/objective

  • Some or all of the below functions may be included
  • Ability to operate mills, lathes, and surface grinders in making custom components.
  • Mechanical abilities to build new equipment.
  • Trouble shoot and repair production equipment, replacing parts required in a timely manner.
  • Experience in industrial equipment repair and wiring control logic.
  • Perform building maintenance and upkeep as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance following established PM procedures.
  • Adhere to safety policies and maintain good housekeeping in the work area. Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and work-related injuries to the department manager or supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned with limited supervision.
  • To perform out of facility local pickup and deliveries.
  • Help in loading and unloading trucks when needed with use of a forklift.
  • Outside yard work and policing of the area.
  • Keeping the dock and dumpster area free of trash.
  • Assist other Maintenance personnel.
  • Janitorial work, like mopping, sweeping, cleaning, etc.
  • Perform small jobs for other departments.
  • Perform building maintenance and projects as required.
  • Change filters in all air handling units.
  • Perform small repairs to production equipment in a timely manner.
  • Fabricate and assemble parts, as required.
  • Adhere to safety policies and maintain good housekeeping in the work area. Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and work-related injuries to the department manager or supervisor immediately.
  • Assist in building and developing new production equipment and methods

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A desire to succeed.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance.
  • Computer literate
  • Good mechanical ability, including math and measurement skills
  • Knowledge in cleaning duties.
  • Ability to obtain a driver license with a B endorsement (may be required)
  • Ability to drive a forklift.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate with other associates.
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Some knowledge in carpentry
  • Ability to work with PLCs and the program logic
  • Ability to work with 3 phase voltages under 600V
