Description

The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for the overall operation and food preparation activities for the school kitchen, including food preparation and production in a cafeteria setting according to established dietary requirements of quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature and timeliness.    Oversees all operations in the cafeteria, supervises volunteers,  orders food and supplies, works with principal for budget for kitchen, Prepares and cooks all foods according to health department guidelines, practices kitchen safety techniques, ensures cleanliness of kitchen, makes sure all equipment functions properly and that excellent sanitation standards are upheld.    

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years experience required;  experience in food service in a facility of comparable size and in supervising/directing the work of others preferred; ServSafe Certification required.
