Work in partnership with students and teachers in accordance with the school’s mission and vision in order to promote student achievement. The following responsibilities and duties are the means to achieve that end, while maintaining compliance with Federal and State Regulations.

Responsibilities Include:

• To assist the teacher in the instruction of students with special needs.
• To assist with the specific instructional, behavioral, academic, and other needs of students.
• To assist the teacher with general clerical/housekeeping activities.
• To assist the teacher in the physical care of students (example: toileting and clean-up).
• To assist the teacher in the transporting of students from one area to another.
• To assist the teacher in the implementation of student service plans.
• To provide class coverage if a teacher is absent.
• To perform other work-related duties as assigned by Administration.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
• Some knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
