Job Summary: The Project Scheduler will help establish and support Excelerate’s current and future global projects. Reporting to the VP of Infrastructure while working closely with other individuals in the engineering, operations, and commercial teams. This person will develop project schedules in support of planning, monitoring, and execution a wide range of projects. The Project Scheduler will be an integral part of the Excelerate Energy Engineering, Development, and Project Delivery teams. The primary role of the Project Scheduler will be to develop robust schedules in support of project development and integrate and monitor schedules from various vendors into an integrated master schedule and ensure that capital projects are progressed per schedule.

  • Develop and create various schedules including but not limited to project baseline schedules, cost loaded schedules and project change driven schedules in a collaborative environment with various teams, including but not limited Engineering, Regional Commercial Teams, and Operational teams.
  • Plan and coordinate all planning and scheduling activities under the guidance of leadership. This includes reorganizing the schedule logic and activity durations resulting from a change in scope or means and methods, as well as updating the schedule for additional work activities following the industry project management guidelines.
  • Oversight and ensure that project planning and schedule standards are implemented and that all project related activities comply with the project baseline  schedules, project vision and strategy.
  • Provide analysis, reports, and review of contractual requirements regarding project controls  and its scheduling.
  • Work closely  with various internal teams, consultants, and contractors to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded schedules.
  • Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, status, and perform measurement baseline.
  • Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports: Gantt, milestone charts, and other tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, and to support cost/schedule  integration.
  • Periodic progress updates of in-progress schedules. Collection of all pertinent  data required to update the schedule. The Scheduler is responsible for collection of update data from multiple sources, including internal Project Managers,  contractors, vendors, etc. 
  • Maintenance of  Project Schedule Baselines.
  • Periodic Performance Report Generation, including but not limited to: Critical Activities Report, Baseline Deviation Report, Earned Value Performance  Index Report and Project Cash Flow Report.
  • Cost and Resource Loading of Schedules. As required by the project, updating cost and resource actuals may be required as part of the periodic progress update process.
  • Network Logic Analysis and Validation. On-going analysis of the network logic and validation that it complies with the intent of the project team. The network logic on-going analysis shall also include removal of extraneous and superfluous dependencies that may cause errors in calculating total float and criticality.
  • Assist in preparation of Monthly/Weekly Schedule Reporting. Preparation of the required reports for the project and shall include assisting with the draft of the Monthly/Weekly Schedule Narrative.
  • Ability to perform delay analysis.
  • Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects. 
  • May required on-site visits to review construction progress required. 
  • Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, including dashboard maintenance.
  • Work in collaboration with project management team to drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting. 
  • Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems. 
  • Maintain accurate records/paperwork.
  • Facilitate and participate in weekly and monthly schedule reviews. 
  • Available for business travel to review and audit various construction projects to collect  or verify information as needed.
  • Perform delay analysis.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience at in a scheduling role, with end-to-end ownership of the scheduling function
  • Prior experience in planning of large scale global capital projects in the LNG, power, and  pipeline projects is a must. 
  • Computer knowledge, proficiencies in Primavera 6.0, proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of other scheduling software such as MS Project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • AutoCAD skills preferred but not required.
  • Ability to represent scheduling function in a cross-functional team
  • Multi-tasking,  good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Self-starter and goal driven. 
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.  and willingness to regularly update skills.
  • Knowledge in BIM and how it relates to scheduling and sequencing is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent listening skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent and efficient quality of work.
  • Delay and forensic analysis. PMI or other project management certification preferred.
