We seek people who are creative, funny, humble, flexible, motivated, collaborative, and problem-solvers. We love and respect our team members. We also love silly GIFs.

Your Role

Allovue is seeking a K-12 Budgeting subject matter expert who would like to become a quality assurance tester reporting to the VP of Product Management. This is an exciting opportunity for your experience and knowledge in education budgeting to make a big impact on the quality and value of our products, helping K-12 Education Finance leaders across the United States focus on making every dollar work for every student. This role will work with our product team to ensure that we are building high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers.  In this role, you will act as a gatekeeper by reviewing “finished” tasks before they are deployed to customers to ensure that they are 100% completed to the standards stipulated by the requirements.

You will also spend time regression testing to ensure that our product continues to work as it should as we rapidly iterate. Your deep knowledge of K-12 finance practices, experience with excel and complicated budgeting spreadsheets will help us to understand where there are testing gaps, and will help to build test data that thoroughly searches for edge-cases. You will evaluate the user’s experience in our products and raise concerns when better solutions are possible. You will help to determine the severity and priority of bugs, and research bug reports from our customers. You will assist customers in understanding the software by updating documentation as well as help with training where necessary. You will be a primary source of product knowledge at the company and will interface with folks from all departments. Finally, you will lead the effort to establish a strong foundation for quality assurance at Allovue by creating processes that don’t exist (but should) and by improving those we currently use.
