The teacher will be responsible for creating (and submitting for review) weekly lesson plans, daily lectures, regular homework assignments, and periodic assessments of student progress (tests and quizzes). Further duties will include participation at regular staff meetings, as well as possible supervision of students immediately before or after the school day. At regular intervals, the teacher will collaborate with other members of the Social Studies Department to review and improve departmental practices and procedures.

All staff members are expected to be a positive Christian role model and desire to both teach and mentor the students, work well on an academic team, show good sportsmanship and Christian character, maintaining a Christian role model at all times and perform other duties as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong Christian testimony, teaching experience, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and be able to take direction from and work with others.
A bachelor's degree in Social Studies or a related field from an accredited four-year university, keen writing and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to the Christian education of children.
California Teaching Credential in Social Studies (or related field), experience teaching Social Studies at the High School level, and experience with Windows PC computers and Smartboard technology.
