Description

 Silcox Hut, located one mile above Timberline Lodge, is the ultimate bed & breakfast at 7,000 feet. Open year round for private overnights and adventure dining. 


Assist with cleaning, maintaining and setting up Silcox Hut for special events.

Requirements


  • Maintain a safe, clean and sanitary work environment by the following but not limited to; wash dishes, wipe down tables/counters, wash floors, fill napkin dispensers, wash windows, clean in, around and under food apparatus, clean refrigerator, clean dishwashing area, general cleaning inside and out of Silcox.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in bunk and restroom areas as required including but not limited to sweeping, vacuum, set up bunks, restock wood, clean fireplace.
  • Perform utility duties in overlook room, adjacent areas, outside areas, picnic tables, shoveling, signs, and general litter control as necessary.
  • Work to learn all aspects of events at Silcox Hut for future career progression
  • Know location of and be familiar with applicable SDS information.
  • Assist Silcox Hut Supervisor or Hosts in handling luggage or other items as needed.
  • Deal with guests in a friendly, professional and courteous manner.
  • Obtain and maintain Basic First Aid/CPR/AED training.
  • Exercise sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming. 
  • Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
  • Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present.   
  • Present a professional, quality image at all times. 
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Must be service-oriented.
  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to set and meet high customer service standards.
  • Must use proper etiquette while conversing with guests.
  • Must be a Timberline approved driver.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of Timberline.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
  • Must be able to work in tight space with balance and poise.
  • Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to keep up with the pace of the department demands of the position.
  • Must be able to work for extend periods of time.
  • Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be able to shovel snow in all conditions.
Salary Description
$16-$18/hr - DOE
