Description

Driver position starting pay is $14.00. We are offering a $1000.00 bonus. This is a part time position for 20-29 hours per week.


Provides safe and courteous transportation of clients in a timely manner


1. Must be physically able to assist passengers in wheelchairs from residence, down ramps, up or down a curb, and into handicap accessible vehicle with either a ramp or lift and then be able to maneuver around passenger to secure them inside of vehicle. This requires a lot of bending or kneeling inside of vehicle. Must, also, assist clients using canes, walkers, blind, or have assistive equipment. May also need to assist some passengers by carrying car seats to vehicle and assist parent/guardian to secure small children in vehicle. This may require lifting up to 40 pounds.


2. Must be physically able to hear sirens, road sounds and vehicle sounds.


3. Must be able to see different colors of signal lights, stop signs and traffic signs. Must have good night-time vision as well as daytime vision.


4. Must be able to assist clients to their proper location at large medical facilities which may require walking long distances or pushing someone in a wheelchair a long distance.


5. Complete accurate and neat drivers and vehicle logs to be used for billing purposes.


6. Drivers are to adhere to company policies and procedures in ALL areas at all times.



Requirements

It is preferred that an applicant have a high school diploma or GED; however testing can be done if there is not a diploma or GED to ensure ability to perform required task. Ability to perform basic math, reading and writing is required. Excellent communication skills are required for both phone and face to face. Ability to handle multiple tasks is required. It is required that applicant be physically able to perform basic first aid procedures and CPR. Ability to pass the driving background requirements as determined by the insurance company that is being utilized by FRS Transportation, this is completed by submitting the driver’s license number to the insurance company.


Applicant must be able to pass the following: Drug & Alcohol Screening, Driver Abstract Check, BCII & FBI Check, Company Physical, Company Eye Exam and complete the 8 Hour “National Safety Council-Defensive Driving Class and the 8 Hour –“DRIVE-Sensitivity to the Aging” Class, CPR-First Aid Trainings, Drug Free Workplace Training, HIPPA Confidentiality, Cultural Diversity and Dual Relationship Trainings.
