PowerRail Locomotive Services Monroe, GA opened in 2014. This 17+ Acre Locomotive Facility offers both Locomotive and Freight Car service including Light Repair, Re-wires, Traction Motor, Truck Work, Engine and/or Engine Component Change Out. We have also branched out with PowerRail Mobile Maintenance which will provide the End Customer Mobile Services on site.

Job Description
Sample Duties
Mechanic
· Assemble / Disassemble parts as directed
· Qualify mechanical devices in operation
· Performs modifications as required
· May assist electricians in performing electrical maintenance duties.
· Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment
· Analyzing, testing and repairing mechanical systems
· Inspect components to ensure each part is within specifications
· Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform duties
· Use micrometers, assorted hand tools, assorted air tool and power tools
· Follow proper safety precautions as listed in the PLS safety manual
· Ensures proper safety equipment is worn
· Compete required paperwork
· Participate in required trainings
· Have problem solving and critical thinking skills.
· Will be trained and/or certified as forklift operator, crane operator, and to use cutting tools
· Will load and offload trucks
· Will perform daily clean-up of shop, and other duties as assigned
Truck Team Lead
· Follow the Process sheets
· Keep up with Inventory
· Keep up with Paper Work
· Understand and plan accordingly for all PO/Customer Ship dates
· Maintain necessary equipment used in the day to day process for truck builds
· Communicate with the team to get the most productivity
· Communicate with Management/Office Assistant/Purchasing Manager accordingly
Qualifications
- Must be reliable and self-motivated.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and speed, good work ethic and enthusiasm to learn all aspects of locomotive repair, ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in a changeable temperature environment.
- Experience required
- Must have experience using the following equipment: DVM, oscilloscopes, recorders, hand tools (such as soldering irons, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches and pliers).
- Must possess problem solving skills, physical stamina and the ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have the ability to set priorities and multi-task.
- Good attendance and good attitude required.
