Driver and Installer
Description

Basic Function:

This job will primarily consist of safely operating industrial trucks equipped to transport product and materials related to and required for furniture installation from a warehouse to job site, dump, and/or similar locations as well as assist in the loading and unloading of product and materials as required. Once onsite, the delivery driver is expected to contribute to the installation of commercial office furniture, including but not limited to systems furniture, casegoods, seating, and ancillary product as needed. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ability to work efficiently both as an individual and in a team environment to complete assigned tasks

Complete any reasonable task as assigned by Supervisor or Management; Work under direct supervision using standardized procedures.

Follow all safety regulations and use necessary judgment to prevent injuries to self and others; avoid damaging building properties and product.

Follow all uniform and appearance guidelines. 

Follow all company and department policies and procedures 

Effectively communicate pertinent information regarding shortages, damages, and installation issues to Supervisor and other project stakeholders 

Assist in training of new personnel (when required)

Maintain and protect all company property and tools in excellent condition

Maintain neat and orderly work area 

Provide outstanding customer service during operations: installation, delivery, and pickup 

Positively represent Office Images and Commercial Services team during client and co-worker interactions by exhibiting core values of respect, determination, commitment, and integrity

Consistently set example for other crew personnel through punctuality, dependability, and work ethic


Delivery Driver

Safely operate company-owned and leased trucks up to/over 26,0001 lbs. deliver (and pick-up) project specific product and materials to job site for purposes of delivery/installation 

Ensure truck is loaded properly for safe transport of materials 

Load and unload truck as job (alone or with a crew) requires or directed from supervisor

Ownership of OI Trucks: Maintain all applicable records (parking tickets, fueling, cleaning, inspection reports, etc.) and fuel levels at end of each day as necessary. Complete daily inspection report prior to use, maintain cleanliness of interior cab, report any mechanical or other pertinent issues to warehouse manager

Properly dispose of project site trash as needed thru emptying truck at warehouse, leaving truck at warehouse for others to empty, or disposing of trash at local dump grounds

Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs


Installer

Install all aspects of systems and/or freestanding commercial furniture

Determine punch problems, suggest solutions, and take corrective action

Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations

Requirements

 Work Environment:

This position is sometimes performed in outside weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain. 


Physical Demands:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing.


Work Hours:

Generally, Mon – Fri 6am to 3pm with occasional after hours and weekends. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may occur.


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid GA DOT license or ability to obtain license upon hire 

Passed GA DOT Physical or ability to pass upon hire 

Excellent communication skills

Strong sense of initiative and determination to get the job done correctly  

Salary Description
$17-19/hr starting
