Description

Purpose: To integrate and establish Meow Wolf into the Grapevine and Dallas/Fort Worth community through coordinating community relationships and outreach initiatives.

Join Meow Wolf as the Community Outreach Coordinator, a dynamic role in which you’ll integrate the company into our new community and develop strategic partnerships throughout the DFW area. The Coordinator collaborates with the Impact & Inclusion Department to plan, implement and evaluate community partnerships, including nonprofit organizations, cultural institutions, government agencies, businesses and community leaders. They will manage relationships that drive Meow Wolf’s efforts to establish a strategic presence in the Grapevine / DFW area. This is a temporary position, and the job will end on Friday, December 2, 2022. 

Requirements

 

You will facilitate the coordination of outreach and strategic community partnerships with the DFW arts community. 


How you will do it…

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Meow Wolf Grapevine and community partners
  • Offer suggestions for strategic partnerships that align with Meow Wolf’s mission and outreach priorities
  • Meet with potential community partners to develop long-term relationships
  • Support Meow Wolf’s hiring efforts by identifying partnerships for diverse recruitment and local sourcing in collaboration with Human Resources and Operations
  • Coordinate impact-driven content development for special events and programs
  • Create and maintain a list of community partners, government agencies, nonprofits, and community leaders
  • Maintain knowledge of local events, special programs, and projects and communicate them to employees
  • Model and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure safe, secure, and legal workplace operations

  • You have strong computer literacy and are proficient in Google Suite
  • You have excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You are adaptable to changing needs and possess the ability to take on new tasks
  • You are agile and adaptable based on the needs of a dynamic work environment and collaboration with a diverse fast-paced team
  • You have a high school diploma/GED
  • You bring 3 years of non-profit, campaign or community engagement experience
  • You have experience working in an environment where discretion regarding sensitive or confidential information was required.

It would be nice to have…

  • Prior work experience in a retail, museum, park, recreation facility, or other public space
  • Adult + Child + Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
  • Experience with data tracking in spreadsheets
  • Experience with Airtable
  • Bilingual language skills

Additional tools to set you up for success…

  • You will use Google Suite to create/ share documents, email, and create calendar meetings as well as track, analyze, and share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders across time zones.
  • You will use Zoom as our primary video conferencing platform to schedule meetings and interviews.
  • You will navigate through HRIS system to ensure the accuracy of the data being entered.
  • You will use Airtable for building lists of community contacts and organizations. 

Work environment & physical demands…

This position works primarily in a home office or remote site and travels throughout the DFW area to attend meetings with various partners and events. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

  • This job is part-time and will require approximately 10 hours per week
  • Travel throughout the DFW area to meet with community partners and attend events 
  • Occasional onsite work and meetings at an active construction site
