COMPANY BACKGROUND: Dura Supreme is a leading manufacturer of premium semi-custom cabinetry based in Minnesota. Founded in 1954, Dura Supreme was family owned through two generations of the Stotts family, and has an exceptionally strong reputation for innovation and quality. Dura Supreme offers a wide range of framed and frameless cabinetry, with numerous wood species, veneers and contemporary finishes, over 100 door styles, and over 150 unique finishes. The business goes to market via 14 sales agencies and more than 650+ dealers. Products are made to order. Manufacturing operations are vertically integrated and highly automated, driving industry leading profitability.

At present, revenue is approximately $100+ million and EBITDA is very attractive. Dura Supreme is backed by GHK Capital Partners, a private equity firm. Core to the GHK investment thesis is a view that rates of growth can be increased through improved channel management and partnership. This increased growth will drive greater leverage of the highly automated manufacturing operations.

GHK Capital Partners is a private equity firm based in Greenwich, CT, pursuing investments in the Industrials sector. GHK targets established businesses with $15-40 million EBITDA and attractive free cash flow, with multiple identifiable avenues for growth and operational improvement. GHK partners with experienced and capable management teams that can benefit from professionalization – as when transitioning from family ownership to institutional capital – and the implementation of operating initiatives to drive transformational growth and investment returns.


The Plant Controller is responsible for the accounting and internal controls in a plant environment including direct oversight of AP and indirect oversight of other accounting related functions such as inventory, AR and payroll. Position has one direct report. Responsible for the timely analysis, reporting, and communication of financial, commercial, and operational results, and performance, and the execution of a continuous improvement mindset around processes, controls, reporting and analysis.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

· Responsible for all technical plant accounting issues

· Manages the balance sheet and P&L statement preparation and completeness

· Load Trial Balance, AR detail and AP detail into One-Stream consolidation tool

· Complete account reconciliations and JE’s monthly, all part of close process

· Provide accurate and timely analysis to ensure accurate and actionable business decisions

· Coordinate/Lead annual physical inventory

· Maintain adequate internal controls of physical inventory

· Sales Tax and other similar audits as needed

· Reserve analysis such as IOS and Warranty

· Manage Paylocity manual payroll feed to GL and automate feed in the future

· Lead annual external audit including planning, creating financial statements from One-Stream and assisting and/or creating related Financial Notes

· Create / propose accounting policies to properly drive behavior and controls

· Continuous improvement mind-set

· Train, mentor and coach team members (direct and indirect)

· Project mgmt., improve existing perpetual inventory system via process and/or system enhancements within Macola ERP



PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate must have strong accounting and leadership skills, ability to communicate at multiple levels within organization and project management skills. The candidate must also have a hunger and bias toward a continuous improvement mindset with a track record of driving positive changes to enable profitable growth and process improvement.

· Must have minimum of eight years of accounting related experience, manufacturing experience if preferred

· Supervisory / management of people experience preferred

· Accounting Degree

· Strong communication skills

· Fed and/or State Income Tax Provision experience a plus but not required

· Ability to commute to Howard Lake, MN and be on-site, number of days required on-site versus remote may be negotiable

COMPENSATION: The selected candidate will receive an attractive total employment package. Compensation will be market competitive and commensurate with experience. Total compensation will include base salary and an annual performance bonus with a competitive benefits package and paid time off.
