The First Year Experience Coordinator leads comprehensive first year experience programming to support entering students, including orientation events and the first-year seminar, and coordinates peer leadership efforts that augment these programs. The Coordinator also delivers academic coaching to designated students. The Coordinator functions as a member of the Student Success and Engagement team, including serving as the professional staff member on call for Residence Life during periodic rotations. The Coordinator is a full-time, 12-month staff member.


The successful candidate will have experience with orientation or academic support programming, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as demonstrated abilities to coordinate with others in a positive manner and to respond effectively to dynamic situations involving students. The position also requires working knowledge of FERPA, ADA, and other relevant regulations or the ability to learn.

 

A bachelor’s degree is required. Some evening and weekends required.
