COMPANY BACKGROUND
Airport Synergy Group LLC (ASG) is a Joint Venture between Avports LLC, Jacobsen|Daniels Associates LLC, and Consolidated Management Professionals. ASG brings 120+ years of collective experience in world-class commercial aviation operations. After previous cooperation and successful collaboration among its partners in the past, ASG was awarded the management contract to provide Property and Equipment Management Services at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), on behalf of the Tom Bradley International Terminal Equipment Co. (TBITEC).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Terminal Managers, the Duty Manager will fill a mission-critical role within the organization by facilitating the effective day-to-day management of consortium operations. Duty Manager will generally be assigned to a single Terminal and may be assigned more specific operational responsibilities, such as Airside Equipment or Landside Services. The Duty Manager will provide direct on-shift supervision of the TBITEC equipment and facilities, coordinate and supervise vendors, and respond to and mitigate any consortium, terminal, and/or airport issues that may arise. Additionally, the Duty Manager will:
1) Assist in developing and improving standard operating procedures (“SOPs”), contingency plans, and training agendas for the assigned TBITEC equipment and facilities.
2) Coordinate with vendors to implement effective staffing schedules, management and contingency plans, in addition to monitoring and managing vendor performance.
3) Direct the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of raw and/or ICS baggage handling systems, passenger boarding bridges, preconditioned air and ground power systems, potable water cabinets, electric GSE charging stations, and other equipment which may be assigned.
4) develop and manage preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs, including scheduling, completion rates, and quality control.
5) Oversee the development and implementation of training programs, inventory control systems, and quality assurance programs to optimize performance, reliability, and safety.
6) Monitor flight schedules, coordinate operations, assign sort piers.
7) Perform daily walkthrough inspections of all TBITEC equipment and facilities, document deficiencies, schedule and verify corrective actions; prepare a daily on-shift report of findings.
8) Oversee consolidated operations; coordinate training, continuous improvement programs, and quality assurance programs to optimize performance, reliability, and safety.
9) Attend daily CBP and LAWA briefings, coordinate airline activity with CBP and federal agencies, inspect and ready Federal Inspection Facilities, and oversee operations.
10) Track issues from detection through resolution to ensure that all deficiencies are properly recorded and corrected.
11) Assist the Terminal Managers in preparing annual operating and project budgets.
12) Manage and optimize the consortium’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), to effectively manage the operation and maintenance of equipment and systems.
13) Oversee document management programs to facilitate the storage and rapid retrieval of documents such as maintenance reports, inventory reports, equipment, and project status reports, incident/accident reports; develop and oversee a document archive program.
14) Respond to and mitigate emergencies, prepare written incident reports, represent the consortium on shift, as necessary.
15) Other duties as assigned.
The Duty Manager will be available during all hours of operation, 7 days each week, 365 days annually and will observe and obey all ethical and legal obligations entrusted in the position.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience as an Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager or Assistant Manager of Airport Terminal or Airline-Station.
- Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of Terminal Management including Operations, Maintenance, Environment, Finance, Public Relations, and Vendor Resources Management.
- Proven ability to interface with Key Stakeholders, including DHS, CBP, TSA, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective communications in a multi-stakeholder environment (e.g., Airport, Airlines, stakeholders, vendors, tenants, etc.)
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret budgets, blueprints, drawings, technical manuals, industry periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
- Ability to review/write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, vendors, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS office tools
- Local experience at LAX will be considered a plus.
COMPENSATION
- Competitive compensation package. ($85,000 - $90,000 annual salary)

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Four-year degree in Airport, Aviation, Aerospace, or Business Administration, or related field is desired.
- Demonstrated aviation experience is a plus.
- Must possess a valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record as a condition of employment.
- Must be eligible to obtain all Airport staff access and security clearances from the Authorities.
- IAP or AAE designation will be considered a plus.
