Summary – basic function of the role

Increase sales by helping ensure on time, accurate shipments for all OEM, and Intercompany customers. Coordinate all aspects of shipment preparation for Freight (LTL and truckload) orders, up to document transfer to shipping material handler. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate all aspects of shipment preparation for Freight (LTL and truckload) orders, up to document transfer to shipping material handler. 
  2.  Help coordinate and expedite available and in process finished goods to ensure on time shipment for freight OEM, Aftermarket, and Intercompany customers, based in the U.S. and overseas. 
  3. Submit required shipment information to customer / carrier via portal, email, fax, or phone to arrange pickup or shipment. 
  4. Prepare all labels and shipping paperwork required for pickup. Prepare and supply export-related paperwork for international customers. 
  5. Accurate and timely invoicing of freight orders, as per company and customer requirements, including freight charges and fees. 
  6. Process end of day ship log and balance against daily shipments.
  7. Work extensively with Shipping, Materials, Production, Customer Service, Customers, and Carriers to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. 
  8.  Assist with shipment related dispute resolution for internal and external customers. 
  9.  Other related duties as required.

3. Must be self-motivated, have good analytical skills, work well individually or as a team member. 

4. Demonstrated proficiency in analytical and personal computing skills, specifically using Microsoft Office Applications.

6. Sense of urgency, excellent time management skills. Thrives under pressure.



Education Requirements: HS diploma required; College diploma preferred. Candidates need demonstrated analytic, computer systems, communications, and problem-solving skills from experience.

Experience Requirements: Two years or more experience in a customer service, manufacturing, or shipping environment. Industrial, distribution, or manufacturing background preferred.


Physical Demands

Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee is able to work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time.

Work Environment

Primary work environment is temperature-controlled office setting with significant time spent in warehouse / manufacturing setting where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. Employee may be exposed to elevated levels of noise.
