Description

The Accountant is responsible for the financial and operations accounting responsibilities including various account and bank reconciliations, analysis, and reporting. Prepare daily operational and bank management reporting, assist in month-end and year-end close processes, accounts receivable and collection responsibilities. Assist in margins reviews, inventory analysis and various financial statements for dynamic team-oriented business. The Accountant will perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance to Lagoon’s policies and procedures. 

Requirements
  • Assist Controller in various financial and operational accounting duties, controls, reviews and analysis activities.
  • Assist in the completion of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reporting that includes reconciling and analyzing various income and balance sheet accounts, completing monthly financial reports and analysis in conformity with company guidelines and GAAP.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate fixed assets register, including depreciation calculations and periodic fixed asset physical inventories
  • Perform Accounts Receivable responsibilities including account reconciliation, posting cash receipts, collection calls, complete research, resolving customer issues and follow up to ensure timely cash receipts. 
  • Assist in tax compliance with federal, state & local regulations
  • Assist with the year-end processes including periodic audits by various outside and bank auditors that meet business requirements.
  • Assist in various financial and business reviews and analysis including development and implementation of business processes and systems. Maintain updated procedures
  • Accumulate information from department management and outside services, prepare and analyze headcount and payroll reporting including time tracking and reconciliation and variance analysis
  • Advises management on various financial, business issues, controls and concerns.
  • The Accountant must work as a team leader and maintain a high level of professional conduct.
  • The Accountant must be willing and able to perform all other job duties and assignments as assigned by management.
