Job Overview


TerraCycle Home is a new subscription-based pickup home service by TerraCycle. It allows consumers to reduce their household waste by collecting hard-to-recycle items that are not otherwise recycled in most communities. 


The Marketing Manager for TerraCycle Home (TCH) directly manages setting the strategies for and implementation of our marketing efforts and works closely with the customer service team. Additionally, the marketing manager works cross-functionally with the rest of TerraCycle's marketing functions including public relations, communications, consumer insights, e-commerce and platform design. 


The ideal candidate will have a broad (end-to-end) knowledge of digital marketing, specifically for startups and e-commerce. They will be able to define key priorities in a fast-paced, quick-change environment and manage an evolving workload that spans all of TerraCycle Home’s activations.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive grassroots marketing strategy, including developing our community ambassador program by engaging with local community organizations, influencers, and key opinion leaders in the space to drive organic, word-of-mouth business growth
  • Support content and communications across owned channels, including but not limited to e-mail/CRM, social media, and on-site content
  • Partner with in-house team to execute and measure paid media strategy, including A/B testing, content, and offers
  • Partner with in-house team on PR and communications strategy, supporting with messaging and assets to enable successful pitching and deliver strong media coverage
  • Develop, execute, manage, and evaluate marketing initiatives for the platform and the brand partners associated with the program
  • Create engaging content across all channels that encourages participation and subscription sign ups
  • Drive content and strategy for TerraCycle Home e-mail communications
  • Monitor effective marketing benchmarks and adjust strategy to hit sales and engagement goals.
  • Research the latest marketing trends and continue to improve the marketing strategy for the business.
Requirements

Requirements/Skills

  • BA/BS preferred
  • 3-5 years of active experience in multiple areas of digital marketing, experience with e-commerce platforms preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Strong strategic and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
  • Comfortable working as a member of a team as well as pursuing projects independently
  • Thrives in high pressure situations while working through complex projects
