POSITION OBJECTIVES:
Aspetuck Valley Country Club is seeking a responsible hardworking individual to lead their dishwashing/prep dept.
Person must possess good knife skills, be able to lift 50 pounds, receive and put away deliveries and help maintain a clean kitchen.
Individual must be able to work both lunch and dinner shifts
This position is responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness of kitchen and kitchen equipment while following strict sanitation standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
This position is responsible for:
- performing heavy cleaning of kitchen area
- washing dishes and pots
- The removal and disposal of trash
- Transporting dishes and supplies
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Maintaining proper Sanitary and safety procedures
- Performing proper procedures in operating, cleaning and changing chemicals in the Dishwashing machines.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Work schedule: must be able to work week-ends, late nights, Holidays and AM or PM Shifts, as needed.
- Available to work flexible shifts and extended hours when needed
JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position.
Education and Experience:
- Previous stewarding experience or position related to food services in a fast paced and busy hospitality environment, preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to operate dishwashing equipment safely.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- We will train the candidate if no previous experience in the position.
Language and Communication Skills:
- Must be able to communicate & interact professionally with members & employees in Basic English language.
Physical, sensory and motor demands:
- Able to move fast and multi-task in a fast paced, high stress / pressure environment Heat and Action)
- Have the ability to push and maneuver large load up to 100 lbs on carts.
- Frequent Standing for extended periods of time.
- Frequent Walking to collect or deliver goods in various kitchens and or reception areas (buffet set ups).
- Regular Lifting up to 50 Lbs.
- Excellent physical fitness, visual acuity and sense of smell to work in the kitchen safely.
- Regular use of Kitchen Cleaning products and household chemicals.
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise, heat and steam from the dishwashing machines
- Must be able to bend and reach from floor to 6 feet
