Status: 60-72 hours per two week pay period with rotating weekends and holidays

Shift: 12 Hour rotating shifts
Job Schedule: Full time
Weekly Hours: 30-36

Job Summary


The Staff Nurse provides direct nursing care for individual clients with well defined nursing diagnoses. The Staff Nurse communicates with and on behalf of the client and coordinates client care with all health team members. The Staff Nurse organizes those aspects of nursing care for which s/he is accountable in a specified work period.

Requirements
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota.
  • Certifications:  BLS - required; PALS (or ENPC) certification prior to 1 year Evaluation; ACLS certification prior to 1 year Evaluation
  • Following a formal orientation, proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months.
  • Cross training is required.

Working Conditions

  • Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and moderate (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly) lifting of clients and equipment.
  • Risks exposure to communicable or infectious disease.
  • Failure to comply with standards of nursing care of HRMC may result in consequences to continued employment.
