ESP Reliability Engineer

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


The role of the Reliability Engineer is to originate and develop methods to determine reliability of components, equipment, and processes. Acquire and analyze data. Prepare calculations and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements. Conduct analysis of reliability problems and investigate them to determine the required reliability approach for a particular situation, with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs and weight, size, and availability of materials/equipment.


SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


Primary Duties:

  • Gather and analyze key metrics data from field studies using engineer principles.
  • Monitor and continuously improve the reliability of product manufactured by Endurance Lift Solutions and our suppliers.
  • Develop improvement plans and guide actions to drive improvement in key metrics.
  • Review and action customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Lead corrective action process to ensure that identified causes are adequately addressed.
  • Assist in new product qualifications for both product performance and manufacturability.
  • Lead problem solving and root cause identification efforts.
  • Support Supplier qualification and issue resolution.
  • Comply with and ensure department compliance with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
  • Other duties as required.


Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


Minimum Requirements for Position:

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related discipline (Quality, Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing). Preferred. 
  • Professional Quality Certifications equivalent to American Society of Quality (ASQ) / Chartered Quality. Preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Auditor or Manager. Preferred.
  • Certification as Internal Auditor or Lead Assessor. Preferred.


Experience:

  • Five (5) or more years related experience in Quality Assurance practices in a manufacturing setting. Required.
  • Experience in Auditing management systems. Required.
  • Proven track record for driving Quality and Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment. Required.
  • Hands on experience in Lean and Six Sigma usage. (A Black Belt or highly experience Green Belt). Preferred.


Knowledge/Skills:

  • Solid understanding of API Q1 and ISO 9001 management systems. Required.
  • Solid understanding of ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 management systems. Preferred
  • Experience in Sucker Rod pumps and API 11AX and 11B. Preferred
  • Knowledgeable with hands on experience in the application of Lean and Six Sigma including the following tools:

Value Stream Mapping, Cpk/Ppk, GR&R, SPC, Control Plans, Sampling Plans, Kaizen, 5S, Statistical Analysis, SMED, 5 why’s, Root Cause analysis, VOC, QFD, Error Proofing, Robust Design, FMEA, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Pareto Analysis, etc. Preferred.

  • Failure analysis and reliability assessment of electromechanical systems. Preferred.
  • Good analytical approach and working knowledge of materials/tools and modern manufacturing techniques. Preferred.
  • Developed Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access skills. Required.
