Front Desk Manager at Komatke Branch
Description

 Boys & Girls Club of the Gila River Indian Community is looking for a Front Desk Manager to be a part of the future growth of our organization. The Front Desk Manager must have the ability to greet members and guests, answer phones and record messages, keep accurate membership and payment data utilizing our membership database, type correspondence and reports as needed and keep the lobby and front desk area clean and organized. In addition, this person must be a team player, organized, personable, and self-motivated.  (There is no relocation assistance associated with this position) 

Requirements

Prepare Youth for Success

  1. Project a positive and pleasant image of the front reception area at all times
  2. Greet members, parents, visitors and guests by name
  3. Keep area clean, orderly and materials up to date
  4. Do not allow staff or members behind counter that do not belong there
  5. Ensure adequate coverage of front desk when you are on break or at lunch
  6. Your area of responsibility includes: lobby, front desk, copier room
  7. Make it a priority to meet all Club members’ parents and build rapport with them
  8. Responsible for filing all financial assistance paperwork. Give financial aide paperwork and instructions to parents inquiring about/needing financial assistance
  9. Responsible for filing all incident and accident paperwork in binder by year
  10. Responsible for filing all volunteer forms
  11. Keep adequate and up to date membership records, assist in maintaining the membership database
  12. Have memberships entered into KidTrax
  13. Have membership card to member with in 72 hours of member signing up.
  14. Ensure members youth and teens are checking in as they enter, checking cards to ensure all are registered members with current membership
  15. Ensure that members check out each evening when they leave
  16. Answer phones, provide information or transfer to appropriate person, take messages. Provide information to callers when asked about upcoming events, how to reach different branches and our Club’s programs

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. May participate in special programs and/or events
  2. Other duties as assigned

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• A minimum of one year work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics


RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.

External: Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and other to assist in resolving problems.
