We invite applications for the position of Assistant Director of Student Financial Aid. The Assistant Director of Student Financial Aid is accountable for performing all necessary support functions of the financial aid process in a timely and accurate manner. Functions include, but are not limited to, counseling students and families on the financial aid process, collecting necessary paperwork to complete financial aid records, processing federal loans, assisting students in obtaining a work-study position and completing the work-study enrollment process, assisting in completing financial aid awards, and cross training in accounts receivable functions. This position reports to the Senior Director of Student Financial Services. The Assistant Director will promote the College’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) statement where applicable. 

The Assistant Director of Financial Aid position requires a person who is articulate and friendly, with a professional appearance. Computer experience is critical. The person must be able to maintain an orderly work-space and be able to withstand frequent interruptions. He/She must be able to relate well to people over the age of fifteen. This job involves a combination of customer service skills and technical office skills. Common sense and the ability to identify problems with computer generated reports are critical. An Associate Degree is required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Two to three years of financial aid experience is required.
