Our Finance and Accounting team is dynamic and supportive; not only helping each other, but demonstrating a true connection to the patients, family and friends we serve everyday


Here's how you'll be caring.

  • Helping to maintain excellent collaboration and communication within the team and the organization
  • In close collaboration with other disciplinary teams, you will be supporting various important core financial and operational processes and initiatives
  • Helping the organization with maintenance and continuous improvements of established and newly advanced finance and accounting processes

Each day. Essential functions.

  • Completes monthly general and standard journal entries, account reconciliations and comparative reports. Reviews monthly accounts payable coding and accruals. Ensures that all financial transactions are properly recorded
  • Prepares internal and external financial statements, financial reports including monthly, annual and regulatory reporting, analysis, and presentations to the Leadership Team and Board of Directors
  • Reviews actual and budget variances with operating managers and assists them in realizing operating objectives
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the accounting software and/or other related technology or processes as well as ways to control costs and provides analysis for improvements
  • Plans, coordinates, and prepares for year-end audits, tax returns, 401k audit and annual budget 
  • Is knowledgeable of data management, modeling, analysis, and reporting tools. Designs reports that effectively communicate conclusions and recommend action plans derived from data
  • Keeps current of software applications such as spreadsheet, relational databases, statistical and graphics packages to develop, present and manipulate data and results
  • Conducts special projects and prepares reports for Leadership and management to assist in important decision-making
  • Implements, educates, and maintains internal controls including responsibility for accounting policies, procedures, and controls

Requirements

  

Our ideal candidate. 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Applicable work experience and/or CPA preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven management experience; minimum of 3 years in a leadership role preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple projects at one time
  • Has current knowledge, through professional education and readings, of GAAP, legal and accounting standards, and control procedures
  • Knowledgeable of the payroll, A/P, and billing system as they impact the quality of the financial data
  • Possess Microsoft Office skills, some familiarity with database and management reporting tools
  • Current California driver’s license and proof of insurance
