Description

Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is an anti-poverty program designed to provide needed resources to nonprofit organizations and public agencies to increase their capacity to uplift communities. The AmeriCorps VISTAs serve alongside the Feeding Tampa Bay team in our fight to end hunger in the Tampa Bay area by increasing our ability to serve our neighbors.


The Programs Data & Capacity  Specialist will assess current status of annual strategy and goal tracking processes of Feeding Tampa Bay’s Programs Department and create department-wide systems for organizing and outlining annual program goals and key performance indicators by individual programs. 

Requirements
  • Assist the Director of Programs in creating a monthly data dashboard for each operating program within the Programs Department (i.e. Trinity Cafe, Feeding Pinellas Empowerment Center, FoodFirst, FoodPlus, and FRESHforce programs).
  • Learn about the structure, scope, and function of Feeding Tampa Bay’s Programs Department and its individual programs (i.e. Trinity Cafe, Feeding Pinellas Empowerment Center, FoodFirst, FoodPlus, and FRESHforce programs).
  • Complete on-boarding activities to gain a general understanding of operations and processes of Feeding Tampa Bay’s Programs Department and its integrated function with other organizational teams (i.e. Development, Communications, Operations, Administration, Finance).
  • Complete on-boarding activities to gain a general understanding of operations and processes of Feeding Tampa Bay’s Programs Department and its integrated function with other 
  • Train Programs Managers and team members on how to collect, report, and integrate data into FTB’s data visualization software, Tableau. 
  • Collaborate with Feeding Tampa Bay’s organizational Data & Insights Manager to incorporate appropriate elements of the Programs Data Dashboard with the Feeding Tampa Bay Organizational Data Dashboard. 


Requirements:

  • Be 18 years or older (no upper age limit)
  • Pass a national service criminal history check
  • Future members must create a profile with AmeriCorps at: https://my.americorps.gov/mp/recruit/registration.do
