The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) is a thriving professional medical society dedicated to optimizing patient care and improving lives through minimally invasive, image-guided treatments. SIR is a 501(c)(6) professional association that supports more than 8,100 interventional radiology physicians, trainees, medical students, scientists, and clinical professionals. Position Summary  

SIR is a rapidly growing medical society, and we are excited to be expanding our Education Department with the new role of Residency Essentials Manager. In this role, you will manage the Residency  Essentials program, which currently has 75+ educational modules with over 500 participating residents within over 100 training hospitals. Additionally, you will collaborate with the society’s clinical experts and volunteers to establish and transform the current program into additional educational opportunities that align with the overall SIR education strategy.  

Requirements


 Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Design, implement and oversee the execution of SIR’s Residency Essential (RE) program. This includes the program budget, revenue tracking, expense management, and analysis of program success.  
  • Manage the enrollment process for new and returning programs. This includes monitoring hospital participation and tracking residents throughout their training path.  
  • Provide customer service to the end users and program administrators.  
  • Manage and maintain the LMS, including but not limited to building training modules and  personalized portals, creating administrative reports, suggesting system improvements and  technology interface changes to enhance the user experience 
  • Collaborate with various volunteer stakeholder groups to review and update the curriculum and identify existing and future SIR educational assets to enhance and expand the educational content. 
  • Compile training evaluation results, resident data, and program participation to report overall program success.  
  • Manage the Residency Essentials advisory committee and subsequent task groups as the staff liaison. Secondary functions and responsibilities 
  • Oversee maintenance and updates to content for program websites, SIR education sites and across all other access points. 
  • Work with the marketing team to develop graphics and robust marketing plans to increase awareness of the program and ensure timely and appropriate marketing efforts to help to achieve participation.  
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Education Program Manager to identify topic areas to target along with the best educational approach to support the development of learning opportunities, initiatives, and/or programs using instructional design and delivery best practices.  
  • Provide education customer support for all other education products and services including general CME/SA-CME or certificate retrieval requests.  
  • Support the Director, of Education with the development and implementation of new projects and/or initiatives, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Proactive, team-centered, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to set, manage and meet priorities. 
  • Three to five years of progressive responsibility for management and administration of education programs, including curriculum development and demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design best practices. 
  • Experience with a healthcare-related association preferred 
  • Experience in developing continuing medical education and knowledge of ACCME requirements. 
  • Strong customer orientation in working with volunteers and volunteer management in the creation of content. 
  • Experience with association management systems (AMS), learning management system (LMS)  platforms, and webinar platforms preferred. 
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Internet applications. Education ? Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Small, fast-paced open office environment with moderate noise levels. Use of phones and computers for extended periods of time. Utilize office equipment and communication technologies for conference calls and teleconference meetings/webinars. Requires general mobility to move through the facility. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequent interaction with internal staff and physician members/board via phone, in person, email, and other mediums. Normal sitting and standing activities for an office environment. Some travel primarily for Annual Meeting.
