Summary:

The Maintenance Manager has specific responsibilities to direct the maintenance programs and processes of all CORMETEC Regeneration Facilities to ensure timely and effective production.  Provides leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance for all maintenance activities.  Ensures excellent safety performance throughout the maintenance department.  Oversees that all health and environmental regulations are maintained during all equipment repairs, property maintenance and equipment installation.  Must be flexible with being available outside of normal work schedule and on holidays.  The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for a team that spans 20 hours of coverage Sunday to Thursday and 12 hours of coverage on Friday and Saturday.


Essential Duties:

  • Follow and implement all safety procedures and performance standards
  • Execute, oversee and direct all facility repairs, equipment repairs and equipment installation
  • Oversee all maintenance needs for the main Production plant and four external warehouses
  • Execute and implement best preventative maintenance practices to ensure the plant operates on schedule
  • Execute and suggest better equipment solutions and generate cost saving scenarios
  • Present and suggest new mechanical process equipment
  • Coordinate and give guidance on maintenance requirements to management
  • Manage, handle and coordinate all maintenance related inventory requirements
  • Communicate equipment preventative maintenance needs between production plant and dry operations
  • Regularly report on equipment issues and downtime
  • Summarize data and perform mathematical and statistical analysis
  • Prepare reports of experimental equipment and/or pilot units
  • Identify discrepancies that occur from projected results and formulate conclusions and recommendations based on data obtained
  • Evaluate and assist in the design and implementation of new technologies and process equipment
  • Follow and implement safety and environmental performance standards
  • Interact with chemical engineering projects

Additional duties:

  • Assist engineering staff with  install, startup, and implementation of new equipment and equipment upgrades
  • Ensure all safety equipment is operational
  • Ensure PM schedules are implemented and followed (track progress and deficiencies)
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Special projects are assigned


Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Facility Management or similar field is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in maintenance
  • A minimum of 5 years' managerial experience
  • Good understanding of the technical features of controls, electrical systems, plumbing and carpentry
  • Excellent organization and leadership abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a plant environment.  This role always requires moving around equipment and forklift operators thus the need of safety.  Temperature can be very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter.  The noise level is high and requires attentiveness.  Environment can be very dusty and dirty at times.
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching and possibly a slight climb at times.  The employee must be able to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds and up to 75 lbs. with a team.
