The Opportunity

BDS is seeking an Order Management Specialist that will be responsible for providing mission critical support to sales including, but not limited to, Proposal generation, contract research, business approvals, complex deal structuring, and training. The Order Management Specialist will partner with Sales Admin team, Revenue Operations, and Purchasing teams, as well as stakeholders and approvers within the business to provide proposal generation, deal structuring and administrative support to the Sales Team.

  • The Order Management Specialist is expected to be a generator of best-in-class and best practices that can serve as a model for other members of the team.
  • Consult and coordinate with business partners across the quote-to-cash cycle to ensure success of the function and business.
  • Communication – Participate and play an active role in regular meetings to share best practices, information, problem solving, and coordinating with respected teams. 
  • Own project management by creating timelines/responsibility assignments and driving continuous communication.
  • Tracking – Comply and use CRM database to track all proposal information required to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Ensure data is accurate and continuously updated. 
  • Lead Order Management team, responsibility of daily operations of order entry and order Processing. 
  • Manage and solve customer escalations through the order lifecycle Manage relevant sources of information, such as previous proposals as well as input from internal departments. This includes editing the document for clarity, grammar, spelling, flow, style, and consistent use of company policy terms.
  • Manage the review documentation by relevant organization and obtain approval before finalizing the document. Properly file/archive proposals and the related proposal preparation files in accordance with established practices.
  • Innovation and Creativity – Develop innovative and creative proposal presentations (digital presentations/videos/interactive PPs and PDFs) to increase our likelihood of winning proposals.
  • Enable and execute cross functional processes to support and enhance the customer experience.
  • Create Proposal documentation process for the sales team by developing internal documentation to help guide our sales teams by providing information they need to work within BDS best practices.
  • Participate in projects, sales training, and related initiatives from management as requested.
  • Own internal activities on key deals (structuring, problem-solving and support/approvals).


 What You will Need to be Successful

  • 3+ years in deal desk, finance, business analysis, sales operations support role. 
  • Technically Savvy with a strong understanding of CRM, CPQ, and Excel. 
  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work well with sales, as well as other functions including Finance, Legal, Operations and Purchasing.
  • Experience working within a high-growth Business Hardware, Technology or Service Based Business Preferred.
  • Experience in creating and managing advanced models and      scenario analysis in Microsoft Excel including Excel advanced functions      (e.g., pivots, lookups, and macros).
  • Superior communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strength in process documentation, presentation, and training.
