Description
Come join the team at HCI Sports & Fitness! We are seeking talented soccer coaches who are excited about the sport and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young athletes and the community. Coaches will mainly be working with children from ages 3-12. Our coaches provide leadership, supervision, and structured instruction to the athletes. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct yourself in a responsible, moral and professional manner at all times
- Work cooperatively with directors, support staff, and renters of the facility
- Plan and lead training sessions
- Assist with cleaning and organizing the facility and equipment
- Participate in continued education opportunities
- Assist in the idea generation process for HCI Soccer - camps, clinics, leagues, tournaments, etc.
- Availability to work weekends, some holidays, and various shifts, as needed
- Various other duties as assigned, such as community appearances, administrative work, assist with communication, etc.
Requirements
- Must hold a minimum of a USSF 4v4 Diploma, USC Foundations of Coaching Diploma, or approved youth license before working directly with children
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills, including ability to listen and respond appropriately to children and adults
- Professional personal presentation
- Strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail
- Team oriented mindset
- Ability to quickly acquire and apply new knowledge and skills and have the ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours, the ability to multitask, and work well under pressure
- Ability to motivate players, teach the game, and educate players, coaches, parents, and the community
