Abtech Technologies is looking for an entry level IT Support Engineer to support the company's Managed Services Provider (MSP) clients located throughout Southern California remotely and on-site. Candidate will have at least one year’s experience with Windows based software and desktops. Candidate will also possess data networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills along with exceptional customer service, follow up, organizational, and communication skills.
This position is approximately 80% remote, working from home and 20% on-site at customer’s premises.
Primary Job Functions:
· Provide Tier 1 technical support to end users remotely via phone, web-based tools, and email, as well as onsite visits to client locations when necessary.
· Perform preventive and proactive maintenance and support as needed.
· Advise customers regarding the product's proper use and address specific user issues.
· Act as a liaison between end users and Tier 2 &3 support if necessary.
· Assisting the sales team with pre-sales technical support, attending prospect meetings, and preparing Statements of Work for the sales representatives.
Required Skills:
• Basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Windows Desktop Support (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7).
• Competent in troubleshooting and setup of Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to handle client interactions professionally and respectfully.
• Highly motivated and organized with an attention to detail and a passion for excellence.
Work Status: Full time
Hours: 8 am - 5 pm PST (West Coast time)
Travel: Some travel required to visit customers on-site
