Essential Functions:
- Installation and/or repair of various items, systems and/or components as may be required (e.g. Includes but not limited to, broken windows, roofs, building structures, floors, lighting systems, HVAC systems and components, electrical systems, plumbing/sewer systems, metal fabrication, painting, dry wall patch, restaurant equipment repair and maintenance.) for the purpose of ensuring that items are available and in safe working condition.
- Perform a detailed daily walk-thru to inspect, correct or perform any daily repairs and/or maintenance needed. (e.g. touch up painting, light bulbs, mechanical equipment check, and inspection of any safety hazards)
- Assists in the development and execution of standard operating procedures for the maintenance department.
- Available to work on call, receive and perform after hours service calls when needed.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- SKILLS that are required to perform multiple, technical and non-technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include operating equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools, adhering to safety practices, general trouble shooting knowledge, general computer knowledge, handling hazardous materials.
- KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent, and/or ratios; read and follow instructions; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes methods, practices, tools and materials used in building maintenance and repair specialties.
- ABILITY is required to schedule activities; collate data; and consider several factors when using equipment. A good general mechanical ability is essential. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; and operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; ability to work on call and receive after hours work assignments; working as part of a team.
Responsibility:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to working under direct supervision and independently, using standardized procedures; complete tasks to 100% completion. Report and work directly with other maintenance personnel to achieve the high standards required by the facility and membership.
Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting of up to and exceeding 75 lbs., carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. The job is performed under some temperature variations and potentially hazardous conditions.
Experience: 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is full-time year-round offered at $22 per hour, depending on experience, with potential to earn seasonal bonuses. Full-time eligible employees will be offered health benefits (including medical, dental, vision, Life & disability etc.), 401(k) after waiting period, seven paid holidays, paid vacation, and sick pay (after meeting eligibility waiting period.). The position is also offered at part-time status.
