Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Wait on and service counter customers in a polite and courteous manner.
- Ask for counter assistance when two or more customers are at the counter
- Answer counter phone calls.
- Keep counter and self service areas replenished.
- Keep the counter/work area neat, clean and well organized.
- Maintain products and signage at counter to assist customers in locating products.
- Promote and sell appropriate add on and company selected specials and focused products
- Promote and sell Aqueous products
- Input orders including: counter orders, shipping orders, and will calls.
- Maintain will call file.
- Input RGRs and credits conforming to the branch/company policies. When receiving returns; inspect, and place in the branch-designated area. (label if required)
- Source material from CDC or other branches when needed.
- Maintain and follow-up any inventory sourced into the branch on a Tag & Hold.
- Assist customers in loading material
- Assist the warehouse personnel whenever possible.
- Have an understanding and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Communicate all low quantities and shortages to Inventory Control.
- Notify your supervisor of any broken or damaged material.
- Attain certification on all Power Industrial Equipment
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.
- Always handle TSCO material in a safe/careful manner.
- Attend all required branch company meetings..
- Work assigned Saturdays based on branch schedule.
- Work extra hours as needed with supervisor's approval.
- Participate in the preparation and working of physical inventories.
- Follow dress code for branch personnel and maintain a professional appearance
