The Warehouse Materials Handler is responsible for ensuring that all established materials management, shipping, receiving, and warehousing processes are followed. This includes outbound shipments, receiving and staging materials, organization, inventory, and material transfers to support all departments’ processes within the plant. This position will collaborate with warehouse, production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure work is completed accurately/efficiently, troubleshoot issues, and participate in solution-based improvement activities. This person needs to be able to work well in a team-oriented environment to accomplish the company’s strategic initiatives while providing excellent service to our many internal and external customers.   


  • Ensure accurate, timely, and proper receiving, handling, rotation, and shipping of all materials. 
  • Use box truck to pick up and deliver inventory between warehouses. 
  • Accurately prepare and stage materials for production use. 
  • Keep all product, supplies, and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Load and unload trucks according to current best practices and internal processes. 
  • Assist with weekly and monthly inventory cycle counts. 
  • Inspect materials and products for damages or flaws. Follow rejection, hold, and communication protocols as needed. 
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and maintain records per current retention policies. 
  • Escalate safety or inventory concerns to department leadership. 
  • Maintain positive and professional working relationships across the team, internal departments, and with external partners.
  • Assist with data entry in ERP system as needed. 
  • Troubleshoot issues with a solution-based approach. 
  • Safely operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks and dollies.
  • Complete daily and weekly housekeeping tasks and support removal of waste from all areas of the plant.
  • Communicate frequently with other team members to ensure all critical work is being completed.
  • Provide coverage and support for all areas of the warehouse and operations including swing shift coverage, as needed.

  • High School diploma or GED required. 
  • Experience working in a warehouse with shipping/receiving/inventory responsibilities strongly preferred
  • Forklift experience strongly preferred. Must be able to obtain forklift certification and perform the responsibilities of warehouse forklift driver/loader.
  • Current and clean driving record. Must be able to be added to company insurance, and drive company box trucks.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.      
  • Ability to differentiate similar packaging/materials quickly and  accurately.


  • Full time, day shift, M-F
  • Shift length typically 8 hours with occasional coverage that could include evening, swing, holiday, or weekend hours. 
  • Some overtime may be required
  • Noisy and active Production floor. 
  • Indoor, outdoor, and refrigerated warehouse environments in all weather conditions.
  • Working with forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies.
