Job Summary

The Sr. Director, Human Resources will operate as a valued business partner to the US leadership team, as well as the global executive leadership team and will have responsibility for developing and leading human resource policies, programs, and practices for the organization. Responsibilities include providing leadership and operational execution in all aspects of Human Resources support for the organization, including Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Development, Performance Management, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Work force planning and Talent Review.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team on the development of the corporation’s strategic plans and programs with respect to human capital management.
  •  Provide leadership in the key HR strategic and operational processes in the following areas:

         o Workforce Planning

         o Talent Acquisition

         o Employee Development

         o Compensation and Benefits

         o Performance Management

         o Employee Relations

         o Payroll

         o Risk Management including health and safety program, compliance

  •  Serve as a business partner to functional leaders, in the assessment, recruitment and development of their respective teams

  •  Drive the development and enhancement of human capital processes, procedures and systems; to help ensure adequate systems, infrastructure, and procedures are in place to facilitate superior employee services

  •  Oversee the US talent acquisition and talent management strategy to support a growing employee population; build the process and capability to identify, hire, on-board, develop, and retain employees throughout the organization and ensure, through effective and coordinated talent review and succession planning, that the organization has a strong “bench” of talent

  •  Facilitate the development of a work environment that attracts and retains critical talent and is consistent with growth, profitability and quality objectives

  •  Ensure the organization is effective in creating and maintaining a diverse workforce; oversee the organization’s affirmative action plan and compliance thereto

  •  Develop and lead organizational culture initiatives that drive engagement, performance, and accountability

  •  Act as a change agent and promote innovation and continuous improvement across the organization

Experience and Skills

  •  Minimum of 8-10 years Human Resources leadership experience
  •  3+ years in a human resources team leadership role
  •  Strong HR generalist skills with proven ability to plan and execute
  •  Proven experience in talent acquisition and talent management in high growth organizations
  •  Experience evaluating and managing HRIS systems and vendors
  •  Excellent communicator and demonstrated ability to collaborate with company leadership on a variety of business issues
  •  Effective presenter, trainer, to facilitate employee and manager training
  •  Consistent and successful track record of performance in all areas of responsibility, coupled with strong credibility and reputation for delivering
  •  Results driven, with blend of hands-on and oversight work product
  •  Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills
  •  Organized, flexible, and easily adaptable to changing conditions
  •  Ability to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlines
  •  Ability to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous priorities
  •  High energy, high ownership of work product, and dedication and commitment to driving results
  •  English language fluency required

Physical Requirements

Performing the duties of this job regularly involves sitting, standing, walking, hearing/listening, grasping, and reaching. Vision requirements include the ability for close vision, to adjust focus, to color code.

This position requires the ability to: maintain an appropriate work pace, comprehend, write and follow instructions, exercise logic and reasoning, read, communicate verbally and in writing, make decisions, multi-task/re-direct and experience numerous interruptions.
