Description
Summary: Sales professional with extensive knowledge of industrial painting and coating. Highly motivated individual with excellent work ethic, responsible for generating sales leads, prospects, new customers and maintaining/growing relationships with current accounts and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular and numerous sales appointments each week with sales leads, prospective clients and established customers and accounts.
- Manage lead generation and outside sales calls and to prospect and secure new clients.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of company’s products and services, and promote the benefits and value that company provides its clients.
- Review job specifications and engineering and/or architectural drawings to get an understanding of the scope of work and communicate with clients to clarify technical and commercial queries.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates utilizing standard costs, company blasting and coating practices, engineering specifications, labor hours and rates, materials costs, and other relevant data.
- Assist in prepare quotations for client submittal including price, delivery, and supporting documents.
- Negotiate prices, terms of sale, service agreements, and contracts with customers, upon approval of management.
- Close sales, finalize contracts and secure purchase orders.
- Interface with production operations to kick-off orders, assure customer communication is maintained, that order commitments are met, and ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
- Work with operations team with purchasing for pricing of materials, as required.
- Track open bids, lost bids, bids awarded.
- Attend weekly sales meetings with management and provide regular reporting, status of pursuits, competitive insight, and strategies.
- Assist in preparing sales budget, revenue forecasts, price schedules and discount rates.
- Advise the Credit department as to credit, payments and collection. Assist with collections, as required.
- Develop and manage brochures, presentations, and other marketing literature.
- Promote sister company’s products and services, and pass on them any leads.
- Attend appropriate trade shows, upon approval of management.
- Attend departmental and company meetings, as required.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- 3+ years of relative experience in industrial painting and coating;
- Experience building relationships with customers and team members;
- Experience working with coating industry standards;
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word) with advanced knowledge of Excel;
- Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software;
- Currently eligible to work in the United States.

Physical Demands:
- Physical requirements are those typically found in an office and fabrication / welding shop environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Safety glasses and other PPE, as required, to visit painting and blasting workshops and yard.
Location and Work Environment:
- This position is located in Houston – Texas – USA;
- Travel to manufacturing facilities, client offices, and other locations as needed to make sales calls, interface with customers, and other third party stakeholders.
Salary Description
$55,000 - $70,000
