Engineering Intern - Summer 2023

Engineering Intern

We are seeking interns to join our team for Summer 2023 who will work along our Engineering team. You will be learning to fabricate, assemble, and troubleshoot custom machinery. The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior-level university student pursuing a mechanical engineering degree.

What you will do

  • Assemble machines or sub-sections of machines using various hand tools.
  • General fabrication such as measuring, cutting, drilling, tapping, and bending of materials to meet design constraints.
  • Assist in the design and improvement of custom machinery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Suggest materials and components to be ordered to meet project goals.

What you bring

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.

  • You will be able to be on your feet up to 8 hours per day.
  • You will be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • You will be able to work safely and keep your work area clean.
  • You will share your findings in regular written and verbal communication with colleagues.
  • You will be able to read an imperial and metric tape measure.
