Primarily responsible to greet and welcome all guests to the hotel and relieve guests of their luggage on
arrival. You will ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all
times, and that all guest requests are dealt with in a prompt and courteous manner. Providing basic
security for staff and guests during their shift.
In Addition to assist guests with luggage, the Bell staff will assist with Housekeeping as needed and
respond to basic maintenance issues.
BELLMAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To be present at the reception desk or in the lobby to be ready to assist guests, colleagues and
visitors when requested and designated times [arrive schedule] per GM.
2. Assists and Escort guests with luggage to and from the front desk, as requested
3. Inspects guest room for order and adequate supplies and informs guests of room amenities
4. Ensure the efficient delivery and collection of group luggage.
5. Respond to guest requests and queries providing a knowledgeable, efficient and helpful
information service.
6. To provide an efficient luggage storage, delivery and collection service
7. Assists the Housekeeping team with the dirty laundry bags.
8. Assists the Housekeeping team with restocking clean linens and supplies, as well as restocking
the rooms.
9. Clean and maintain the public areas. This includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, mopping and
dusting the lobby and courtyard and pool areas, emptying the garbage cans and maintaining the
cleanliness of the hallways and stairs.
10. Ensure that Hotel is secure, by walking the property at least once an hour or when returning
from escorting guest/s to their room or escorting staff to their cars.
11. Perform minor maintenance issues when maintenance team is not on duty or unavailable; i.e.
understand water shut-off and water pressure
12. Preform basic maintenance activities in the guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging
drains, general repairs, basic IT and basic operation of the air conditioning units.
13. To be available for any emergencies and act in a maintenance capacity to protect guests
and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
14. Monitor King Street Valet Lane and Harborview circular drive to ensure no cars are parked
longer than 10 minutes. These lanes to be enforced solely for hotel guest and hotel deliveries.
15. Monitor guests/staff parking lot for any loitering unauthorized vehicles.
16. Serves as a backup security presence at KCH, conducting regular patrols and handling non-
emergency issues.
17. Reports any situations requiring professional security intervention to Facility Security
Officer(FSO).
