Transcendent is looking for a Senior Systems and Network Engineer who can help us grow, and who believes in our Mission:

The Senior Systems and Network Engineer will work closely with the CTO, development team, support, and technology vendors to update, stabilize, and improve our current production and non-production infrastructure, as well as prepare the company for our initial expansion into the cloud. This includes networking and server installation and maintenance, including work in our two datacenters, and management of our virtual servers.

  • Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
  • Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues
  • Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected
  • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks
  • Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users
  • Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems
  • Optimizing and evaluating the system regularly
  • Assigning and updating security permissions for the system network
  • Analyzing and figuring out the system needs of an organization 
  • Working closely with other department Managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network
  • Manage VMware and Hyper V Cluster
  • Manage Veeam and backup solution
  • Manage SAN
  • Manage primary and secondary datacenters
  • Ability to migrate from private cloud to public cloud
  • On-call requirements to ensure 24 x 7 support of operations
Requirements

Experience

  • 5 years’ experience as a Network or Systems Admin
  • 5 years’ experience working with Windows server,
  • Including Active Directory and disk configurations
  • 2 years’ experience working with VMware and or Hyper V
