Description
The Fabrication, Welding & Paint Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, workflow, safety, quality, and personnel across the Fabrication, Welding, and Paint departments. This role focuses on coaching and developing team members, organizing workflow, enhancing communication, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The leader will foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability to meet production goals and delivery deadlines.
Duties
- Supervise and support employees in Fabrication, Welding, and Paint
- Assign daily work and coordinate workflow between departments
- Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met
- Monitor weld quality, paint finish, and fabrication accuracy
- Enforce safe operation of equipment, tools, and machinery
- Assist with training employees on processes, procedures, and safety practices
- Communicate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to maintain product flow
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas
- Coordinate the planning, fabrication, welding, and movement of welded and fabricated components across multiple Simplex facilities to support production schedules and project requirements.
- Communicate regularly with Operations, Scheduling, Logistics, and peer leaders at other facilities to ensure parts are built, staged, transferred, and delivered in the correct sequence and time frame.
- Ensure consistency in quality standards, weld procedures, material specifications, and paint preparation across facilities.
- Identify and proactively resolve cross-facility constraints, capacity limitations, or quality issues impacting part flow or delivery commitments.
- Support standardization of processes and documentation to ensure seamless execution of multi-facility production work.
Requirements
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a 4-year degree
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes; Welding, fabrication, and/or paint
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining accountability and engagement.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, Outlook) and ability to learn manufacturing software (Epicor preferred).
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

- Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly
Salary Description
$70,000 - $85,000
