Description

The AI Computer Vision/Machine Vision Engineer will develop novel AI-driven object recognition and video analysis components supporting object, image, and action recognition in multiple domains with a heavy emphasis in pose estimation. 

Basic Functions:

  •  Design, implement, train and improve new and existing AI Computer Vision algorithms
  •  Analyze and curate appropriate image and video datasets to support recognition tasks
  •  Maintain the software once it is running and make sure that any issues are properly documented and resolved
  •  Assist other developers to run the models in a batch-oriented fashion on existing data
  •  Select the right infrastructure for the job
  •  Set up test and evaluation environment for image processing and machine vision applications including data collection, processing, and annotation
  •  Collaborate with engineers to identify and leverage the latest best practices around image processing, machine vision and machine learning
  •  Select and tune the appropriate algorithm, models, and techniques to given situations, problems and issues
  •  Performs ad-hoc analysis and presents results in a clear manner
  •  Prepares reports, charts, graphs and other statistical information

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  •  Proven work experience as an AI Computer Vision Engineer/Machine Vision Engineer or similar role
  •  Expertise in one of the major AI libraries (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Open.ai)
  •  Must have Pose estimation, prefer MediaPipe
  •  Python expertise, with at least basic object oriented python experience 
  •  Object detection for bounding boxes, semantic and instance segmentation
  •  Recurrent Neural Networks with LSTM
  •  Multi dimensional neural networks
  •  Tuning neural networks 
  •  Automated preparation and organization of training and test data
  •  Experience with Linux and GPU-accelerated AI
  •  Familiarity with OpenCV and similar frameworks
  •  Experience with developing computer vision AI systems targeting object / feature recognition for single images and motion / activity recognition for video sequences

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, IT or related field of study or equivalent experience 
  •  5+ years of experience as an AI Computer Vision Engineer/Machine Vision Engineer
