Who we are looking for:
We are searching for an Insurance Administrator who will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to our team. The Underwriting Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Underwriting Team. Have an understanding of non-life insurance coverages? and be able to efficiently and accurately prepare all policy related documents, including but not limited to, quotations, binders, invoices and policy forms. The Insurance Administrator must be able to handle confidential matters, exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, possess strong written and verbal communication, demonstrate high-level administrative and organizational skills, and proven success maintaining balance among multiple and shifting priorities
What you will do:
- Maintaining databases for all insurance policy effective dates and coverage
- Review proposals and policies to complete coverage & premium comparison
- Communicate in writing and verbally with insurance agents, vendors and brokers
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulations
- Complete all necessary paperwork (both electronically and in hardcopy) to ensure accurate records are maintained
- Entering all policy data into bound schedule
- Assign and maintain policy, binder, client numbers and endorsements
- Maintain premium payments and financial schedule of accounts of insurance binders, contract wordings and/or endorsements as needed; including drafting and typing of such
- Prepare and process insurance contract invoices
- Monitoring client accounts to ensure policies are in place and avoid lapses in coverage
- Manages calendars, requiring interaction with clients and assistants to coordinate a variety of meetings;
- Prepares correspondence
- Consistent communication and gathering of information from underwriting team
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently, willingness to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner;
- Proofing for spelling & grammar;
- Processing expenses including travel reimbursement, invoice payments, etc.
- Assist with special projects as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Insurance Administrator Job Requirements:
- 2 years of experience working in the Insurance (Strongly Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university, preferable in a business-related field (Strongly Preferred)
- Experience with client services and client communication
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, time management and decision-making skills
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, sophisticated environment that requires adaptability and creativity
- Extreme flexibility in a start-up environment
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams)
- Bi-Lingual English / Spanish a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: Miami Beach, FL
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
Schedule: Must be able to work full-time from Monday through Friday.
