Description

A Crane Operator and Truck Driver are responsible to operate a company crane and dump truck on various job sites, landfills, and on company property.  Down time requires Roofing responsibilities

Job Duties: CRANE OPERATOR

  • Operates boom cranes with standard boom lengths and angles for loads well within the lifting capacity of the cranes
  • Loads and unloads crates, lumber, machinery, roofing materials or equipment at worksites or outdoor storage areas.
  • Observes load hookup and determines safety of load.
  • Manipulates or depresses crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
  • Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism
  • Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions. 
  • Allowances must be made by the operator for changes in the lifting capacity of the cranes caused by variations in the angle  the boom, length of the boom position, of the revolving frame, or slope of the terrain.
  • Operates crane wearing a hard hat at all times 
  • Complies with OSHA standards, safety guidelines, and DOT
  • Maintain clean and organized vehicles. 
  • Shall be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of any piece of equipment in the field of his/her responsibility.
  • Down time requires Roofing responsibilities

Job Duties: TRUCK DRIVER

  • Maintain at least a Class B CDL.
  • Inspects truck for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects, malfunctions or regular maintenance items
  • Maintain clean and organized vehicles.
  • Shall be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of any piece of equipment in the field of his/her responsibility.
Requirements


  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Driver’s License with no restriction (Class B CDL)
  • Ability to pass pre-hire physical and pre-hire drug screening
  • Fluent in English
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required
  • Ability to reach, lift and maneuver objects of various weights, shapes and sized
  • Mental alertness is required to ensure accurate completion of work activities
  • Follow company policies and procedures and applicable State and Federal laws
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, climb ladders, bend, stoop, twist, turn, and reach frequently. 
  • Must be comfortable working in job environment more than 6 feet off the ground.
  • Carry out duties in varying outdoor climate conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Must complete all DOT required reporting and maintain records.
  • Shall be familiar with emergency duties
  • NCCCO certification (if not will train)
  •  Down time requires Roofing responsibilities
