Robot Assembly Trainer

 As a Whisker Robot Trainer, you will focus on creating a training plan to onboard and train all new Team Members in all aspects of the Litter-Robot line.  You will also play a key role in successfully implementing our new training center.

Whisker is hiring for multiple positions with overtime opportunities for the following shifts: 

  • First Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm CST 
  • Second Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm CST 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assists the Production Supervisor in the creation of a training program for all new Team Members
  • Teaches and trains new hires in all aspects of the Litter-Robot
  • Understands the many procedures within the facility including: building, testing, pack-off, and reconditioning (Recon) units
  • Utilizes internal software systems and scanners
  • Masters and coaches others on how to process orders for Chewy, Amazon, Pet People and other international orders
  • Prepares assembly area / line for work, ensuring that all components and tools are in good condition and ready for the required work
  • Follows work instructions and alerts Engineering or Management when these important documents have errors or inconsistencies
  • Demonstrates the willingness and ability to perform all functions of the assembly process
  • Performs final test / QC analysis of product
  • Performs all duties, specified and otherwise, in a safe, constructive manner                              
  • Will perform additional responsibilities when required
Requirements
  • 2+ years of training experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to give constructive feedback
  • Contributes to a positive work environment
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to bend, climb ladders, pull, push, reach as needed  
  • Ability to work in various temperatures
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Must have a positive attitude 
  • Must be an efficient worker that is organized and detail oriented
  • Able to work in a fast-paced assembly environment 
  • Must be eager to learn different areas of the company 
  • Motivated to not only be the trainer for the Assembly area, but to expand the program into other departments
