The Evangelical Catholic (EC) inspires, trains, and supports leaders to launch and drive dynamic movements of evangelization in their communities.


The role of the Ministry Consultant is to inspire, train, and support leaders to launch and drive dynamic movements of evangelization in their communities. The Ministry Consultant will embody ideals of Catholicism while facilitating the implementation of EC mission training and discipleship resources. This leader must strongly embody and reinforce the EC values of Zeal, Fun, Candor, Excellence, and All Things to All People. 


 The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the job/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned. Ministry Consultants are expected to work a varied schedule based on client needs. 

  • Partner, coach, and advise—through scheduled video calls and onsite visits (where applicable)—pastoral staff, campus ministers,  parishioners, and/or students associated with EC partnered ministries to further the culture of conversion and evangelization. Maintain a client portfolio with the highest level of excellence ensuring client satisfaction; responsible for partnership renewal opportunities.
  • Drive the growth and development of ministries by partnering with ministry leaders to set measurable goals that are assessed throughout the partnership.  Create a culture of accountability through specified structures that strengthen faith and  evangelization and is visible through the Reach More™ process, EC discipleship resources, and agreed upon dashboards. 
  • Conduct in-person staff trainings and presentations, talks, and workshops for large groups of students or parishioners at partner ministries.
  • Coordinate travel and onsite visit logistics including flights, hotels, event details, and scheduling. 
  • Collaborate with partners to determine what is necessary to create and enhance a movement of  evangelization and design solutions to meet those needs, drawing on EC products and tools, ideas, and best practices. 
  • Regularly participate in (remotely or in person) staff meetings and Consulting Operations Team meetings.  
  • Gather and analyze data to identify themes and insights for clients; prepare compelling reports, presentations  and other deliverables to achieve maximum impact.  
  • Use productivity tools implemented by the EC to further your ministry client to reach their goals. 
  • Effectively implement evangelization and ministry practices based on broad  understanding of Church doctrine and pedagogy; demonstrate ability to articulate it, especially with regard to evangelization, catechesis, prayer, sacraments, and ecclesiology. 
  • Partner with lay leaders to coach in spiritual practices, time management, goal setting, and execution.

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in Theology or similar area of study from an accredited university or currently pursuing a master’s degree or equivalent experience in a similar area of study.  
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a ministry setting.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency with productivity  tools such as Google Suite. 
  • Is a practicing Catholic who understands and believes in the mission of the Evangelical Catholic;  has a consistent prayer life, is a regular recipient of the sacraments and has a desire to speak of their relationship with Jesus Christ. 


  • Ability to clearly communicate through written reports, emails, and proposals.  
  • Strong public speaking experience. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of ministry staff, clergy, stakeholders, and the general public. 
  • Bilingual preferred. Ability to read, write, and speak in Spanish proficiently.


  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate. 
  • The normal work environment is an office environment. 
  • 60% or more work time in front of a computer for video calls and other work.
  • Domestic travel requirement: 30-40% of work time occurs onsite with ministry partners.
