Job Summary
The Sr. Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organizations research, development, and product implementation efforts including multi-company integration projects. S/he ensures visibility into the execution of project outcomes, and regularly and accurately report on project status and meeting outcomes. The Sr. Project Manager guides others within the organization on project management basics, ensuring use of common practices and tools.
Essential Job Functions
- Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
- Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
- Simultaneously manages multiple workstreams and projects.
- Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
- Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
- Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
- Motivates team members and manages conflict within the project.
- Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
- Reports project status to company leadership through project update meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- PMP Certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience with progressive responsibilities in project management role
- Leadership qualities such as motivation techniques and conflict-management
- Time management skills, especially familiarity with calendar management and goal setting
- Computer proficient to include web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point capabilities
- Proven track record of executing multiple projects simultaneously

Demonstrated ability to work creatively and independently and prioritize effectively to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; able to identify project risks and create mitigation strategies. Ability to meet designated deadlines is also a critical qualification. Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Possess excellent planning, organization, analytical skills, and project management skills.

Other Requirements
This position requires travel approximately 10% of the time. International travel may be required.
