Parks Manager

 Under the general direction of the Director of Parks and Recreation, coordinates the planning, execution and management of all Parks and Recreation programs for citizens of all ages, along with the operation, care and maintenance of park and golf course facilities and grounds within the City. Directs a large staff of temporary and permanent employees in department activities based on community interests and needs. In addition, maintains records, prepares a variety of comprehensive reports and develops an operating and capital budget for the City of Pontiac Parks and Recreation Department.

Basic skills with presentation software

Basic skills operating a computer system and applications

Certificates & Licenses

Valid Operator’s License



Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.

A Master’s Degree in Recreation, Public or Park Administration, Park Planning, Landscape Architecture or a closely related field desired.
